Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 3B:14-7

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Estate: means all of the property of a decedent, minor or incapacitated individual, trust or other person whose affairs are subject to this title as the property is originally constituted and as it exists from time to time during administration. See New Jersey Statutes 3B:1-1
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
A removed or discharged fiduciary shall, within 60 days after removal or discharge or within a shorter or longer period as the court may direct, state and settle his account before the Superior Court for all the assets of the estate in his charge.
