- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 43:17-37. A local firemen’s relief association, incorporated or reincorporated under this article may be dissolved at any meeting thereof by a vote, by written or printed ballot, of two-thirds of the members present and voting in favor thereof. Notice of the meeting, and of the purpose thereof, signed by at least ten of the members, shall have been mailed to each person entitled to vote thereat at least twenty days prior thereto and published for three weeks successively, once in each week, in a newspaper circulating in the neighborhood where the association is located. Notice of the dissolution shall be filed forthwith with the Secretary of State and the secretary of the New Jersey State Firemen’s Association.
