Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 43:3C-20

  • Annuity: A periodic (usually annual) payment of a fixed sum of money for either the life of the recipient or for a fixed number of years. A series of payments under a contract from an insurance company, a trust company, or an individual. Annuity payments are made at regular intervals over a period of more than one full year.
  • State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
62. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund, the Judicial Retirement System, the Prison Officers’ Pension Fund, the Public Employees’ Retirement System, the Consolidated Police and Firemen’s Pension Fund, the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System, the State Police Retirement System, the Alternate Benefit Program, and the Defined Contribution Retirement Program shall be administered in accordance with the rollover requirements of section 401(a)(31) of the federal Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. § 401(a)(31)).
