Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 46:30B-67

  • Administrator: means the Treasurer of the State of New Jersey, any individual serving as the Acting Treasurer in the absence of the appointed Treasurer, and any State employee to whom the Treasurer has delegated authority to administer the provisions of this chapter and to execute any pertinent documents.   • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Holder: means a person, wherever organized or domiciled, who is the original obligor indebted to another on an obligation. See New Jersey Statutes 46:30B-6
  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
  • Property: means tangible property described in R. See New Jersey Statutes 46:30B-6
46:30B-67. Payment of safe deposit box or repository charges. Property removed from a safe deposit box or other safekeeping repository is received by the administrator subject to the holder‘s right under this section to be reimbursed for the actual cost of the opening and to any valid lien or contract providing for the holder to be reimbursed for unpaid rent or storage charges, which the administrator shall reimburse or pay the holder out of the proceeds remaining after deducting the administrator’s selling costs.
