Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 46:38-22

  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Executor: A male person named in a will to carry out the decedent
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
An adult may authorize or direct his trustee or executor to make a gift to a minor under this act. If a gift is so made, the trustee or executor shall be deemed the donor of the gift for the purpose of this act.
