Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 127B-29
- Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
- United States: shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
A dependent of a servicemember engaged in military service has the same rights and protections provided to a servicemember under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 127B-30 and a dependent under Subchapter III of Chapter 50 of Title 50 of the United States Code. (2019-161, s. 1(a); 2019-243, s. 29.5(a).)
