North Carolina General Statutes 83A-4. Fees
(a) All fees and charges by the Board shall be established by Board rule subject to the provisions of the Administrative Procedure Act.
(b) Fees set by the Board shall not exceed the following amounts:
Initial Application for Licensure to Practice Architecture by Exam

Annual License to Practice Architecture Renewal

Late Renewal Penalty for Individual Architects and Firms
Up-to-30 days $100.00
30 days to 1 year $100.00
Reciprocal License $300.00
Reinstatement of Expired License
Architect $500.00

Initial Application for Registration to Practice Interior Design

Annual Registration to Practice Interior Design Renewal

The above fees are provided in addition to any other fees prescribed by law. Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 83A-4
- Board: The North Carolina Board of Architecture and Registered Interior Designers. See North Carolina General Statutes 83A-1
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of a statute, shall be construed to mean the section next preceding or next following that in which such reference is made; unless when some other section is expressly designated in such reference. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
- Interior design: Includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of reflected ceiling plans, space planning, creation or alteration of paths of egress, occupancy calculations, provided no increases in occupancy or number of exits is required, selection of furnishings, and the fabrication of nonstructural elements within and surrounding interior spaces of buildings. - License: A certificate of registration issued by the Board recognizing the individual or firm named in the certificate as meeting the requirements for registration under this Chapter. See North Carolina General Statutes 83A-1
