The Board shall provide, without charge, one copy of the current statutes and regulations relating to Funeral Service to every person applying for and paying the appropriate fees for licensing pursuant to this Article. Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.28

  • Board: means the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service. See North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.20
  • Embalmer: means any person engaged in the practice of embalming. See North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.20
  • Embalming: means the preservation and disinfection or attempted preservation and disinfection of dead human bodies by application of chemicals externally or internally or both and the practice of restorative art including the restoration or attempted restoration of the appearance of a dead human body. See North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.20
  • following: when used by way of reference to any section of a statute, shall be construed to mean the section next preceding or next following that in which such reference is made; unless when some other section is expressly designated in such reference. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3
  • Funeral director: means any person engaged in the practice of funeral directing. See North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.20
  • Funeral service: means the aggregate of all funeral service licensees and their duties and responsibilities in connection with the funeral as an organized, purposeful, time-limited, flexible, group-centered response to death. See North Carolina General Statutes 90-210.20
