Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 97-1.1
- compensation: means the money allowance payable to an employee or to his dependents as provided for in this Article, and includes funeral benefits provided herein. See North Carolina General Statutes 97-2
Any reference in any act, public or local, to the “Workmen’s Compensation Act,” “Workmen’s Compensation,” or “workmen’s compensation” shall be deemed to refer respectively to “Workers’ Compensation Act,” “Workers’ Compensation” or “workers’ compensation.” (1979, c. 714, s. 4.)
