(A) The trustee and their successors in office shall be styled the “board of trustees of the Ohio state university,” with the right as such, of suing and being sued, of contracting and being contracted with, of making and using a common seal, and altering it at their pleasure.
Terms Used In Ohio Code 3335.03
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- state: means the state of Ohio. See Ohio Code 1.59
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
(B) Except as specifically provided in division (A)(2) of section 2743.03 of the Revised Code, the court of claims has exclusive, original jurisdiction of all civil actions against the Ohio state university board of trustees.
