The treasurer or other fiscal officer of a technical college district shall not be held liable for a loss of public funds when the treasurer or officer has performed all official duties required of the treasurer or officer with reasonable care, but shall be liable only when a loss of public funds results from the treasurer’s or officer’s negligence or other wrongful act.

Terms Used In Ohio Code 3357.101

  • Technical college: means an institution of education beyond the high school, including an institution of higher education, organized for the principal purpose of providing for the residents of the technical college district, wherein such college is situated, any one or more of the instructional programs defined in this section as "technical college" or "adult-education technical programs" normally not exceeding two years' duration and not leading to a baccalaureate degree, except as provided in section 3333.
