Ohio Code 3727.14 – Certification by accrediting organization

If an accrediting organization approved by the federal centers for medicare and medicaid services or an organization that certifies hospitals in accordance with nationally recognized certification guidelines establishes a level of stroke certification that is in addition to the three levels described in sections 3727.11 to 3727.13 of the Revised Code, the department of health shall recognize a hospital certified at that additional level.
Terms Used In Ohio Code 3727.14
- Hospital: means an institution classified as a hospital under section 3701. See Ohio Code 3727.01
For purposes of this section, the department and a hospital shall comply with sections 3727.11 to 3727.13 of the Revised Code as if the certification and recognition described in this section were one of the three levels described in sections 3727.11 to 3727.13 of the Revised Code.
