A public university listed in ORS § 352.002 shall give credit for education and training obtained by a person while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States, as defined in ORS § 352.313. The education and training for which credit may be given must meet the standards adopted by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission or the governing board of a public university listed in ORS § 352.002.
