The director shall appoint a chief inspector who shall be a citizen of this state to coordinate, administer, and implement the provisions of this chapter. This existing position shall be responsible to and report to the administrator of the division of occupational safety. The appointee will be in the classified service of the state.

Terms Used In Rhode Island General Laws 28-25-3
- Chief inspector: means the existing position of chief boiler and pressure vessel inspector as appointed by the director of labor and training. See Rhode Island General Laws 28-25-1.
- Director: means the director of labor and training or his or her designee unless specifically stated otherwise. See Rhode Island General Laws 28-29-2.
