Terms Used In South Carolina Code 34-26-670

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any member of the supervisory committee may be suspended or removed for failure to perform duties in accordance with this chapter, the articles of incorporation, or the bylaws by the board of directors by a two-thirds vote of those present at a meeting. The committee member shall have the appeal rights outlined in § 34-26-665(2).
