Any person subject to this code who, without proper authority:
(1) Sells or otherwise disposes of;

- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: includes natural persons, partnerships, associations, cooperative corporations, limited liability companies, and corporations. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2
- Property: includes property, real and personal. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2
(2) Willfully or through neglect damages, destroys, or loses; or
(3) Willfully or through neglect suffers to be lost, damaged, destroyed, sold, or wrongfully disposed of;
any military property of the United States or of any state, shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
