South Dakota Codified Laws 57A-2-103. Definitions and index of definitions
(1) In this chapter unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) “Buyer” means a person who buys or contracts to buy goods.

- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Person: includes natural persons, partnerships, associations, cooperative corporations, limited liability companies, and corporations. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2
- Seller: means a person who sells or contracts to sell goods. See South Dakota Codified Laws 57A-2-103

(c) “Receipt” of goods means taking physical possession of them.
(d) “Seller” means a person who sells or contracts to sell goods.
