Terms Used In Tennessee Code 30-1-403

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

On the death, removal, or resignation of an administrator, guardian, trustee, or receiver provided for in this part, the county legislative body may fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.
