(a) The commissioner is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations not in conflict with this section and §§ 56-2-101, Commissioner to accept process – Deposit of securities” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2023″ statecd=”TN” title=”56″>56-2-103, foreign companies – Exceptions” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2023″ statecd=”TN” title=”56″>56-2-113 – 56-2-115, and 56-2-201 for the purpose of implementing those sections so as to regulate the writing of the various kinds and types of insurance provided for in those sections.
Foreign: when used without limitation, includes all companies formed by authority of any other state or government. See Tennessee Code 56-1-102
(b) The commissioner is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations to allow for the filing of documents with the commissioner pursuant to this title through a designated filing depository.(c) Regulations promulgated pursuant to this section shall have the same force and effect of law.
