(a) The commissioner is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations not in conflict with this section and §§ 56-2-101, Commissioner to accept process – Deposit of securities” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2023″ statecd=”TN” title=”56″>56-2-103, foreign companies – Exceptions” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2023″ statecd=”TN” title=”56″>56-2-113 – 56-2-115, and 56-2-201 for the purpose of implementing those sections so as to regulate the writing of the various kinds and types of insurance provided for in those sections.

Terms Used In Tennessee Code 56-2-301

  • Commissioner: means the commissioner of commerce and insurance. See Tennessee Code 56-1-102
  • Foreign: when used without limitation, includes all companies formed by authority of any other state or government. See Tennessee Code 56-1-102
(b) The commissioner is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations to allow for the filing of documents with the commissioner pursuant to this title through a designated filing depository.
(c) Regulations promulgated pursuant to this section shall have the same force and effect of law.
