Terms Used In Tennessee Code 62-27-113

  • Internship: means the study of polygraph techniques and of the administration of polygraph techniques by a trainee, referred to as an "intern" in this chapter, under the personal supervision and control of a local licensed polygraph examiner in accordance with a course of study prescribed by the commissioner at the commencement of the internship.   • Polygraph examiner: means any person who purports to be able to detect deception or verify truth of statements through instrumentation or by means of a mechanical device. See Tennessee Code 62-27-102

A license or duplicate license, intern permit or duplicate intern permit must be prominently displayed at the place of business of the polygraph examiner or at the place of internship, or in the case of a company license, at the principal business location.
