As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:

(1) “Department” means the department of finance and administration;

  • Department: means the department of finance and administration. See Tennessee Code 71-3-1102
  • Program: means any program established to provide health coverage to children pursuant to this part. See Tennessee Code 71-3-1102
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • Title XIX: means Title XIX of the Social Security Act, Subchapter XIX, Chapter 7 of Title 42, United States Code ( 42 U. See Tennessee Code 71-3-1102
  • Title XXI: means Title XXI of the Social Security Act, Subchapter XXI, Chapter 7 of Title 42, United States Code ( Tennessee Code 71-3-1102
  • United States: includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
(2) “Enrollee” means an individual who is eligible and enrolled in the program;
(3) “Program” means any program established to provide health coverage to children pursuant to this part;
(4) “Tennessee medicaid program” means the federal- and state-financed, state-run program of medical assistance established pursuant to Title XIX ( 42 U.S.C. § 1396 et seq.), including any waivers thereof;
(5) “Title XIX” means Title XIX of the Social Security Act, Subchapter XIX, Chapter 7 of Title 42, United States Code ( 42 U.S.C. § 1396 et seq.), providing grants to states for medical assistance programs; and
(6) “Title XXI” means Title XXI of the Social Security Act, Subchapter XXI, Chapter 7 of Title 42, United States Code ( State child health plans” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” statecd=”US” title=”42″>42 U.S.C. §§ 1397aa, et seq.), establishing the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.
