Terms Used In Tennessee Code 71-3-1105
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

The department is authorized to seek federal approval for the program, pursuant to Title XXI (42 U.S.C. § 1397aa et seq.), through a state plan, state plan amendment or request for federal waivers.
