- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
If a registrant’s name is changed during the unexpired term of a mark’s registration, a new certificate of registration may be issued for the remainder of the unexpired term in the new name of the registrant on the filing of a certificate under Section 16.062.
