Terms Used In Texas Finance Code 119.006
- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.

The finance commission shall initiate rulemaking proceedings under Chapter 2001, Government Code, if at least 20 percent of the savings banks petition the finance commission in writing requesting the adoption, amendment, or repeal of a rule.
