Terms Used In Texas Government Code 2175.361
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
In this subchapter:
(1) “Federal act” means the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C. § 541 et seq.), as amended, or any other federal law providing for the disposal of federal surplus property.
(2) “Federal property” means federal surplus property acquired:
(A) by the commission or under the commission’s jurisdiction under this subchapter; and
(B) under 40 U.S.C. § 483c, 549, or 550, or under any other federal law providing for the disposal of federal surplus property.
