Terms Used In Texas Government Code 74.256
- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
The filing of a motion under § 74.253 in a case is not grounds for a stay or continuance of the proceedings in the case in the court in which the case is pending during the period the motion or request is being considered by:
(1) the judge of that court;
(2) the presiding judge of the administrative judicial region; or
(3) the judicial committee for additional resources.
