Terms Used In Texas Health and Safety Code 401.105

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The executive commissioner or commission, each within the jurisdiction of that officer or agency, by rule may recognize other federal or state licenses the executive commissioner or commission, as appropriate, considers desirable, subject to registration requirements the executive commissioner or commission, as appropriate, may prescribe.
