- Justice: when applied to a magistrate, means justice of the peace. See Texas Government Code 312.011
The office is subject to review under Chapter 325, Government Code (Texas Sunset Act), but is not abolished under that chapter. The office shall be reviewed during the periods in which the Texas Juvenile Justice Department or its successor agency is reviewed.
