If funds are specifically appropriated for the purpose, this state shall pay the same portion of the cost of the required contributions for a deceased annuitant’s surviving spouse or other surviving dependent who elects to retain coverage under § 1551.156 as this state pays for similar dependent coverage for an employee or annuitant participating in the program.
