(a) In connection with a client’s application for insurance coverage or with the issuance of an insurance policy to a client, or on a client’s request, a general property and casualty agent or personal lines property and casualty agent may obtain:
(1) the motor vehicle record of a person insured under or to be insured under an insurance policy; or
(2) a photograph of property insured under or to be insured under an insurance policy.
(b) The agent must provide a copy of the motor vehicle record to the client.
Terms Used In Texas Insurance Code 4005.002
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
