(a) The district may not impose an assessment or tax on a single-family residential property that:
(1) is in the territory described by Section 2 of the Act creating the district; and
(2) exists as of the effective date of the Act enacting this chapter.
(b) § 375.161, Local Government Code, does not apply to the district.
