(a) A person operating a vehicle under a permit issued under § 502.092 commits an offense if the person transports farm products to a place of market, storage, or processing or a railhead or seaport that is farther from the place of production or point of entry, as appropriate, than the distance provided for in the permit.
(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $25 or more than $200.
