(a) Not later than the 31st day before the date an electric utility files a statement of intent under § 36.102, the electric utility shall provide notice of intent to file the statement to each municipality having original jurisdiction.
(b) Not later than the 30th day after the date a municipality receives notice under Subsection (a), the municipality may request that the electric utility file with the municipality a statement of intent in accordance with § 36.102.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

(c) If requested by a municipality under Subsection (b), the electric utility shall file the statement of intent with the municipality at the same time the statement is filed with the commission.
