Terms Used In Utah Code 57-1-44
- Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
- Mortgagee: The person to whom property is mortgaged and who has loaned the money.
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
Sections 57-1-39 through 57-1-43 do not excuse a beneficiary, mortgagee, trustee, secured lender, or servicer from complying with the provisions of Section 57-1-38.
