The
committee shall:
| (1) |
prepare annual population estimates for the total population of the state and each county in the state; |

| (2) |
review and comment on the methodologies and population estimates for all geographic levels for the state that the United States Bureau of the Census produces; |
| (3) |
prepare place estimates for new political subdivision annexations and incorporations in the state; |
| (4) |
prepare additional demographic estimates for the state that may include estimates related to race, ethnicity, age, sex, religious affiliation, or economic status; and |
| (5) |
publish the estimates described in Subsections (1), (3), and (4) on the committee’s website. |
