Nothing in this chapter:

authorizes the alienation, encumbrance, or taxation of any real or personal property, including water rights belonging to any Indian or any Indian tribe, band, or community that is held in trust by the United States or is subject to a restriction against alienation imposed by the United States; |

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
- tribe: means a tribe, band, nation, or other organized group or community of Indians that is recognized as eligible for the special programs and services provided by the United States to Indians because of their status as Indians. See Utah Code 9-9-101
- United States: includes each state, district, and territory of the United States of America. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5

authorizes the regulation of the use of this property in a manner inconsistent with any federal treaty, agreement, or statute or with any regulation made pursuant to them; |

confers jurisdiction upon the state to adjudicate, in probate proceedings or otherwise, the ownership or right to possession of this property or any interest in it; or |
| (4) |
enlarges, diminishes, or deprives any Indian or any Indian tribe, band, or community of any right, privilege, or immunity afforded under federal treaty, agreement, statute, or executive order with respect to Indian land grants, hunting, trapping, or fishing or the control, licensing, or regulation of these. |
