Terms Used In Utah Code > Title 16 > Chapter 4 > Part 1 - General Provisions

• Board: means the Drinking Water Board appointed under Section 19-4-103. See Utah Code 19-4-102
• Corporation: means a nonprofit corporation or a profit corporation. See Utah Code 16-4-102
• Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
• Director: means the director of the Division of Drinking Water. See Utah Code 19-4-102
• Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
• Division: means the Division of Drinking Water, created in Subsection 19-1-105(1)(b). See Utah Code 19-4-102
• Executive director: means the executive director of the department appointed pursuant to Section 19-1-104. See Utah Code 19-1-103
• Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
• Nonprofit corporation: means a nonprofit corporation as defined in Section 16-6a-102. See Utah Code 16-4-102
• Profit corporation: means a corporation as defined in Section 16-10a-102. See Utah Code 16-4-102
• Public water system: includes :

  (i)	a collection, treatment, storage, or distribution facility under the control of the operator and used primarily in connection with the system; and

  (ii)

  a collection, pretreatment, or storage facility used primarily in connection with the system but not under the operator's control. See Utah Code 19-4-102 Share: means a share as defined in: (a)  Section 16-6a-102 for a nonprofit corporation; and (b)  Section 16-10a-102 for a profit corporation. See Utah Code 16-4-102 State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5 Supplier: means a person who owns or operates a public water system. See Utah Code 19-4-102
