  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 564. Powers of Attorney General

Nothing in this act shall impair the rights and powers of the courts or the Attorney General of this State with respect to any corporation. (1971, No. 112, § 4.)
