As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning:
Terms Used In Virginia Code 62.1-69.36
- Basin: means the Roanoke River Basin. See Virginia Code 62.1-69.36
- Roanoke River Basin: means that land area designated as the Roanoke River Basin by the Virginia State Water Control Board, pursuant to § 62. See Virginia Code 62.1-69.36
- State: when applied to a part of the United States, includes any of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the United States Virgin Islands. See Virginia Code 1-245
“Basin” means the Roanoke River Basin.
“Roanoke River Basin” means that land area designated as the Roanoke River Basin by the Virginia State Water Control Board, pursuant to § 62.1-44.38, and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
