If a person required to deposit security under this chapter fails to deposit such security within sixty days after the department has sent the notice as hereinbefore provided, the department shall thereupon suspend:
Terms Used In Washington Code 46.29.110
- owner: as used in this chapter shall mean registered owner as defined in RCW 46. See Washington Code 46.29.020
- person: may be construed to include the United States, this state, or any state or territory, or any public or private corporation or limited liability company, as well as an individual. See Washington Code 1.16.080
- registration: as used in this chapter shall mean the certificate of license registration issued under the laws of this state. See Washington Code 46.29.020
- state: shall mean : Any state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or any province of the Dominion of Canada. See Washington Code 46.29.270
(1) The driver’s license of each driver in any manner involved in the accident;
(2) The driver’s license of the owner of each vehicle of a type subject to registration under the laws of this state involved in the accident;
(3) If the driver or owner is a nonresident, the privilege of operating within this state a vehicle of a type subject to registration under the laws of this state.
Such suspensions shall be made in respect to persons required by the department to deposit security who fail to deposit such security except as otherwise provided under succeeding sections of this chapter.
