(1) Whenever an extended benefit period is to become effective in this state (or in all states) as a result of an “on” indicator, or an extended benefit period is to be terminated in this state as a result of an “off” indicator, the commissioner shall make an appropriate public announcement.

(2) Computations required by the provisions of RCW 50.22.010(4) shall be made by the commissioner, in accordance with regulations prescribed by the United States secretary of labor.
