As used in this chapter:

Terms Used In Washington Code 73.36.010

  • Administrator: means the administrator of veterans affairs of the United States or his or her successor. See Washington Code 73.36.010
  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Estate: means income on hand and assets acquired partially or wholly with "income. See Washington Code 73.36.010
  • Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
  • Income: means moneys received from the veterans administration and revenue or profit from any property wholly or partially acquired therewith. See Washington Code 73.36.010
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • Person: means an individual, a partnership, a corporation, or an association. See Washington Code 73.36.010
  • Veterans administration: means the veterans administration, its predecessors or successors. See Washington Code 73.36.010
  • Ward: means a beneficiary of the veterans administration. See Washington Code 73.36.010
“Person” means an individual, a partnership, a corporation, or an association.
“Veterans administration” means the veterans administration, its predecessors or successors.
“Income” means moneys received from the veterans administration and revenue or profit from any property wholly or partially acquired therewith.
“Estate” means income on hand and assets acquired partially or wholly with “income.”
“Benefits” means all moneys paid or payable by the United States through the veterans administration.
“Administrator” means the administrator of veterans affairs of the United States or his or her successor.
“Ward” means a beneficiary of the veterans administration.
“Guardian” means any fiduciary for the person or estate of a ward.
