Each designated local board shall provide a process for appeal of its decisions and comply with the requirements of this chapter and the regulations promulgated hereunder.

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Designated local board: means a group, including social service providers and a representative of local government, that has met department requirements for distribution of grants allocated by the department pursuant to this chapter. See California Health and Safety Code 50801
