Any employer who fails to pay any contributions required of him or of his workers, except amounts assessed under Article 8 (commencing with Section 1126), within the time required shall become liable for interest on such contributions at the adjusted annual rate and by the method established pursuant to § 19521 of the Revenue and Taxation Code from and after the date of delinquency until paid.
