If an order of payments is in effect on the date of judgment in the trial court and an appeal is taken by any party, the order shall remain in effect and compliance with the order shall constitute satisfactory compliance with the bond requirement of § 47a-35a.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 47a-26e
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
