Sec. 19.9. (a) This section does not apply to certified registered nurse anesthetists.
(b) An advanced practice registered nurse may include a report from the INSPECT program in a patient’s medical file. Any disclosure or release of a patient’s medical file must be in compliance with IC 25-26-24-19.

- Advanced practice registered nurse: means :
Indiana Code 25-23-1-1
- INSPECT program: means the Indiana scheduled prescription electronic collection and tracking program established by IC 25-1-13-4. See Indiana Code 25-23-1-1.5
- registered nurse: means a person who holds a valid license issued under this chapter or IC 25-42 and who bears primary responsibility and accountability for nursing practices based on specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, and behavioral sciences. See Indiana Code 25-23-1-1.1
