576.1 Nature of lien.
Every forwarding and commission merchant shall have a lien upon all property of every
kind in the merchant’s possession, for the transportation and storage thereof, for all lawful charges and services thereon or in connection therewith, and, if sold under the provisions of this chapter, for selling the same.
