  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.

The board of trustees of any hospital sold and conveyed pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 19-1860j or leased pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 19-1860l is hereby abolished. Any moneys remaining in any fund of said hospital after its sale or lease shall, after payment of any obligation thereof, be transferred to the county general fund. All records and property of said hospital remaining after the sale or lease thereof shall be transferred to the custody of the county clerk.
