Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:706
- Pensions: means payments for life. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
- Retirement: means withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
- Retirement system: means the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana as defined in La. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
No other provision of law which provides wholly or partly at the expense of the State of Louisiana for pensions or retirement benefits for teachers, their widows, or other dependents, shall apply to members or beneficiaries of the retirement system established by this Chapter, their widows or other dependents.
