Terms Used In Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:709
- person: includes a body of persons, whether incorporated or not. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 1:10
- Retirement: means withdrawal from active service with a retirement allowance granted under the provisions of this Chapter. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
- Retirement system: means the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana as defined in La. See Louisiana Revised Statutes 11:701
Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any person who retires from the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana and who becomes employed or reemployed by or within the Department of Education as defined in Title 36 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, shall, upon such employment or reemployment, be governed, with respect to retirement, by the laws governing the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana.
